Eligible projects must meet some or all of the following objectives:

• Strengthen the understanding of the heritage cultural site (the term heritage is understood here in all its diversity: architectural, urban, archaeological, ethnological, intangible, historical monuments, museums, parks and gardens) or the territory possessing a unique cultural unit, notably through a mediation offer and a welcome contributing to a better appropriation of the place by the visitor (cultural signage or mediation, development of visit routes, digital tools, etc.)
• Strengthen or singularize the identity of the sites or territories concerned and develop their attractiveness and their attendance
• Integrate into the Paris cultural offer, notably through the development of partnership projects
• To develop and promote the cultural wealth of the territories in particular through projects that accompany the emergence and structuring of new tourism sectors such as historical tourism, knowledge-based tourism andmake, creative cultural industries, touring cultural tourism
• Strengthen the qualification of cultural and tourist actors on the different dimensions of cultural tourism to optimize the reception and accompaniment of visitors in the discovery of cultural places and territories (in particular through joint training, workshops, internships, online courses bringing together actors from both sectors).

ATTENTION: One-off projects, particularly festivals, are not considered. Festivals may apply for funding under the  Festival Support Fund.

In addition to the relevance of the projects, particular attention will be paid to the ability of the projects to take into account some or all of the following criteria:

1. Consideration of all audiences in their diversity: national, foreign – including distant destinations – early childhood and youth, families, learned or new visitors;
2. Taking into account areas remote from major tourist flows with a view to rebalancing (rural areas and large crown);
3. Integration in a sustainable tourism approach, notably by involving the local population (inhabitants and professionals) and by offering interoperable and sustainable cultural and innovative tools;
4. Implementation of a communication on the new offer (provide external and site communication plan);
5. Implementation from the outset of the project of a protocol for monitoring and evaluation of the project.

The DRAC Île-de-France’s support for projects, excluding stakeholder training, is capped at €15,000 per case and may not exceed 50% of the project cost.

For support for the training of actors, the grant is capped at €8,000 and may not exceed 30% of the project cost.

For projects selected by the Commission, the grant is awarded in the third quarter of 2023.

• Amount of grant paid: €15,000
• The Abbey of Maubuisson creates a digital tour to offer visitors the opportunity to understand the place and its history despite the disappearance of a large part of its buildings, used as a stone quarry in the 19th century. The new offer also allows to create a link and a circulation between the visitors of the park and those of the art center by promoting a rich and unsuspected knowledge.

• The orchard pavilion in Rambouillet, with its remarkable decoration, has benefited from restorations, allowing it to be opened to visitors. An introductory space, in the annex of the pavilion (former wardrobe), with explanatory panels and an audiovisual device makes it easier for visitors to understand the place.

• Amount of grant paid: €15,000
• The Town of Mantes-la-Jolie proposes the creation of a cultural and tourist interpretive route to discover the heritage riches of the historic heart, whether emblematic or unknown. This is to make visitors want to walk around the city centre by following a perennial route marked with different supports (orientation plans, explanatory panels, nails).

• Amount of grant paid: €13,000
• Through the creation of an application, allow each inhabitant or visitor of the city to wander around the historic sites and/or identified as cultural resources by appropriating the history of the city through the art of stained glass, the stained glass window illustrating both the religious history, the industrial past of the city and the modern and contemporary creation of the artists in demand. The course puts the viewer in action, allowing him to wander and start with the site that suits him.

• Amount of grant paid: €8,000
• Apply QR codes in the vicinity of small municipal heritage (wells, wash houses, drinking troughs, historical and cultural sights...) in the 21 municipalities of the Val d'Essonne territory to allow visitors to discover in an innovative way the local history. For visitors less sensitive to digital, brief descriptive information of the place complete the QR code.
