Invitation to the colloquium "The protection of authors and rights holders seen by authors of European reform"

In April 2019, these are two fundamental European directives,
on copyright and related rights, which have emerged.
The first reform of the Cable-Satellite Directive of 1993
problems of scale such as direct injection,
the country of origin rule or compulsory collective management.
In particular, the second is adapting the Infosoc directive
2001 and provides an answer to the question of sharing
value on the Internet or implements related principles
the remuneration of creators and artists...
At the same time as these texts reflect important developments
and necessary, their adoption process has been winding. Stakeholders
those who worked for its success (Parliament
European Commission, rights holders, etc.), will come
explain its meaning and spirit.
This symposium is organized on the initiative and under the direction of
Alexandra Bensamoun, Professor of Private Law
at the University of Rennes 1, thanks to the support of Sacem,
and CERDI (Centre d'études et de recherche en droit
Université Paris-Sud/Paris-Saclay).
