The National Assembly benefits from 5915 works of art deposited by major national museums (the Louvre Museum, the Orsay Museum, the Palace of Versailles, the National Museum of Modern Art), but also by the National Centre for Plastic Arts (CNAP), the Manufacture de Sèvres and Mobilier National. All these works were harvested within the legal deadlines, that is to say less than ten years ago.

Of these 5915 goods, 3720 have not been located, of which 3445 (or more than 92%) are goods of the Manufacture of Sèvres, often particularly fragile tableware pieces. The disappearance rate of works tabled in the National Assembly is therefore 62.89%, a rate lower than the average of the large institutions already studied by the CRDOA (72.42%).

A total of 64 complaints were requested, 50 of which were filed with the police. The 14 remaining complaints concern works from the Louvre Museum (including Saint Georges Combatting the Dragon of Horace Vernet, RF 132), the Musée d'Orsay (including Salambô de Théodore Rivière, no number, 13), the Palace of Versailles (a mahogany table, VCG 218) and the National Museum of Modern Art (Grand Rue du Grand Socco, Morocco, by Edouard Morerod AM 4658 D). The filing of a complaint promotes the rediscovery of works of art, particularly at public sales.

Illustration: This Campanian vase by Luynes from 1828 is part of a pair, whose decorations by Alexandre-Evariste Fragonard painted by Barbin depict one an antique wedding, the other an antique meal. It was presented at the Royal Manufactures Exhibition of 1829 at the Louvre Palace and bears the name of Honoré-Théodoric-Paul-Joseph d'Albert, Duke of Luynes (1802-1867), a prominent antiquarian and collector. Delivered in 1839 to the Royal Museum, the vases could be used to decorate the rooms of Greek and Roman antiquities. Returned to the Manufacture de Sèvres, they were chosen on July 31, 1848 by M. Joly, architect of the House of Representatives of the People, to be laid before the President of the National Assembly, where they are still kept.
