A little less than 15% of the 5,608 deposits were collected at the Ministry of Culture with a very low rate of disappearance compared to other ministries, at less than 16%, precisely because of the few objects harvested: the main depositors, the Cnap and the Manufacture de Sèvres, have not yet completed their first proofs.

A complex history of the Ministry and its successive locations could make registration and management of deposits difficult. Since 2015, however, thanks to the clear assignment of this mission to the archives service, the situation has gradually cleared up. However, it still remains to secure the traceability system for movements of works and their beneficiaries in order to avoid any failure in this monitoring.

This report presents the results of the various proofing campaigns for art deposits in the Ministry of Culture (central administration), the results of these and the suites reserved for the works not located.
