Concert inaugural de l’Orchestre de Paris 14_11_1967

Erected on the rubble of the illustrious «Société des concerts du Conservatoire» created in 1828 by Cherubini and long considered the first orchestra in Europe, The Orchestre de Paris gave Landowski’s musical policy the lustre and international ambition that Pierre Boulez denied. The goal of excellence and prestige was achieved with the choice of conductor Charles Munch and the immense success of the orchestra from its first concert on 14 November 1967, then its first tour in the USSR and the United States.
