Tribute by Frédéric Mitterrand, Minister of Culture and Communication, to Jeff Joseph

One of the most endearing figures of Creole music comes from
leave us.

Within the group Grammacks then Volt Face, Jeff Joseph will
imposed over forty years of career as one of the musicians the
most inventive of the Caribbean. He knew how to make
dialogue rhythms and traditions: calypso, reggae, funk,
zouk, reggae, soca and bouyon... He was for many a reference,
an artist whose strength, charisma and inspiration all seduced
generations.

In this Year of Overseas his departure will be felt all the more
by all those, so numerous, who, in the West Indies, in
Metropolis and all over the world loved man as much as the
singer.
