One of the best photographers of his generation has just left us.

Passionate about music since childhood, he had
immortalized his encounters with some of the greatest
singers of our time: Edith Piaf, Charles Trenet, Billie Holiday,
Alain Bashung, Johnny Hallyday... He had thus constituted archives
very precious, like a wonderful museum in pictures. We have
all in the eye one of his most famous shots that fixes the triple
interview with Jacques Brel, Georges Brassens and Léo Ferré
1969.
Jean-Pierre Leloir was not only the concert photographer,
recording sessions and rehearsals. His work appears,
now that we can consider it in its full scope, from a
exciting diversity: industry reports, openings
exhibitions, architectural photographs, travel notebooks... It had been
also part of the great adventure of the National Theatre
of Jean Vilar and, later, one of the founding members of the
magazine Rock & Folk. The lucid and passionate look on our
an artist and a great witness.
