Frédéric Mitterrand to launch the 27th European Heritage Days on Saturday 18
September 2010, welcoming visitors from 9:00 am, to the Ministry of
Culture and Communication (entrance via 5, rue de Valois, Paris I).
The Minister will be present all morning to answer questions from
visitors.
During the visit, the public will discover a spectacular selection of
costumes of the great characters of the history of theatre, opera and
dance (17th to 20th centuries) from the collections of the National Dance Centre
Stage costume (CNCS).
At 12:00 p.m., he will attend the restoration of the small meridian canon* of the Palais-
Royal.
* In 1786, the Sieur Rousseau, watchmaker at 95 galerie de Beaujolais, presented to passers-by
a small cannon that tells them the time thundering every noon. Stolen in 1998, it was
reconstituted and implemented in 2002.
