In the passionate context surrounding the restoration of the Lambert Hotel, the Ministry of Culture and Communication wishes to clarify that this file is currently the subject of a legal proceeding and therefore does not call for comment. However, the Ministry of Culture and Communication follows it with the utmost attention.
Frédéric Mitterrand, Minister of Culture and Communication, visited the Lambert Hotel on 26 August
last. He made an in-depth visit, was able to see the state of affairs and to be exposed to all the points that give rise to the current controversies. He was particularly sensitive to the atmosphere of the place and the history attached to it.
The Minister will ensure that the memory of the prestigious owners and successive residents of the Hotel Lambert is preserved, intention shared by the current buyer, faithful friend of France and its heritage.
A message to this effect was sent to the Polish Embassy in Paris today by the Minister.
