Vezdi Rachidov, Bulgarian Minister of Culture, received Frédéric Mitterrand, French Minister of Culture and Communication, on 22 September 2011 at the Bulgarian Embassy in Paris.

The two Ministers signed a film co-production agreement
between the Government of the Republic of Bulgaria and the
the French Republic.

This new agreement modernizes the legal framework of relations between the two countries
in the field of culture and broadens the possibilities for cooperation in
The European Commission will also be involved in the development of the European film industry.

On this occasion, Vezdi Rachidov awarded Frédéric Mitterrand the highest
distinction of the Ministry of Bulgarian Culture, the "Golden Century", for its
contribution to the international development of culture, and its
fight for European cultural policy. Henri Loyrette, President
director of the public establishment of the Louvre Museum also received
this prestigious distinction.

During their meeting, the two Ministers discussed
cultural cooperation between Bulgaria and France, both bilaterally
and the possibilities of a broader representation of the
great Bulgarian figures of the Arts in front of the French public. Exchanges
with Henri Loyrette have notably made it possible to study the possibilities of a

exhibition, conservation, research and training.
