Frédéric Mitterrand, Minister of Culture and Communication and DanielCanepa, Prefect of the Île-de-France region, Prefect of Paris, in the presence of Mrs Genthon, Regional Director, inaugurated this morning the new premises of the Regional Directorate of Cultural Affairs of Île-de-FranceLe Peletier in the 9th arrondissement of Paris.

The new building allows a better reception of the public as it gathers on a
all the services of the DRAC, the regional service of
archaeology and the Territorial Service of Architecture and Heritage of
Paris (STAP 75) now attached to the DRAC. These services were
until then spread over three locations in Paris and Ile-de-France.
The DRAC of Île-de-France is responsible for protecting and
preservation, documentation and enhancement of heritage, as well as
expertise, advice and support in the field of artistic creation
and cultural dissemination in all its forms.
