At the time of the fashion week in Paris, this event will be the occasion to propose in the form of films and posters a preview of the future permanent exhibition of the Villa Noailles in Hyères.

Indeed, on July 2, 2010, will open at the Clos Saint-Bernard in Hyères, more
known as Villa Noailles, a permanent exhibition retracing
nearly forty years of patronage by Charles and Marie-
Laure de Noailles.
Forty years seeking novelty and excellence in
material of music as plastic arts, architecture, decorative arts,
literature or cinema. This quest for the absolute in all the
fields has allowed the realization of major works in the twentieth century.
Villa Noailles, built by and for this couple of patrons goes from
the origin know the glory and welcome the artistic and cultural elite of
all over Europe, from Cocteau to the Ballets Russes, from Man Ray to shoot
in 1929 «The mysteries of the castle of the dice» to Luis Buñuel invited in 1930
to write the scenario of the Golden Age. We celebrate with joy the youth
and novelty, avant-garde and creation.
The Villa Noailles Art Centre opened its doors in 2003 in the
wishes of Charles de Noailles, who sold the property to the
the park to the public (St Bernard Park) and make the
this site a cultural place.
The programming, faithful to the alliance of the arts desired by the Noailles, is
dedicated to architecture, fashion, design and photography, and
offers a series of international festivals: the
Fashion and Photography, every year end April, Design Parade, the
first weekend of July and the Children’s Festival, each ending
december.
Exhibitions, meetings, conferences, creative residencies, visits and
Workshops for children are held throughout the year.
The Ministry of Culture and Communication accompanies the Villa
Noailles since 2003.
