The Minister of Culture and Communication, Frédéric Mitterrand, has this morning appointed the Board of Directors of the Centre national du cinéma et de l'image animée (CNC). Created in 1946, the CNC, a state-owned public institution, had never had a Board of Directors. The new codedu cinema and animated image, promulgated by ordinance in 2009, formed the governance of the CNC and created a Board of Directors whose residence was entrusted to Véronique Cayla.

The Board of Directors is composed of 12 members. It decides on the
strategic orientations of the CNC, on the modalities of allocation of support
to film, audiovisual and multimedia production and
budget. The NCC’s 2011 budget provides for an exceptional
digitization of rooms and works endowed with nearly 100 M€ as well as a

On this occasion, the Minister congratulated Véronique Cayla, who will
Arte Presidency next January for the action it has taken since
five years at the TNC and the comprehensive reforms it has implemented
successfully.
