The 13th edition of the Printemps des Poètes will take place from March 7 to 21, 2011, and will feature in the "2011 Year of the Overseas" ultra-marine lesterritoires.

In the presence of Marie-Luce Penchard, Minister for
the Interior, the Overseas Territories, the Local Authorities and Immigration,
in charge of overseas, Jean-Pierre Siméon, artistic director of
Spring of the Poets, Juliette Binoche, godmother of this 13th edition, the
Minister presented the theme of the event «Infinite landscapes» as well
that the authors in the spotlight this year: Michel Butor, René Depestre,
André Velter, Kenneth White, and Aimé Césaire.

The prize of the 3rd Andrée Chedid contest of the sung poem was awarded to
Frédérique Dastrevigne for his setting to music of André Velter’s poem
“Further than us”.
