Frédéric Mitterrand, Minister of Culture and Communication, meeting with Maurice Vincent, Mayor of Saint-Etienne, Jean-Jacques Queyranne, President of the Regional Council of Rhône-Alpes and Bernard Bonne, President of the General Council of the Loire, appointed Director Arnaud Meunier as Director of the Comédie de Saint-Etienne – Centre dramatique national.

A political science graduate, Arnaud Meunier was an actor,
trainer (at the National Actor College of the National Theatre of
Brittany in particular) and founded his company the bad seed in
1997. He was also associated with the Comédie de Reims. Trilingue,
has worked extensively abroad, including with Japan for its
latest shows.
Arnaud Meunier’s project for the Comédie de Saint-Etienne
by the will to federate and mutualise. It thus intends to develop
strong collaborations with several structures of the city and the region
in order to support companies located in the regions,
to irrigate the territory, while strengthening the European dimension of the
Comedy of Saint-Etienne. The author, Marion Aubert, will be associated with the
Drama center by a 3-year convention.
Arnaud Meunier will succeed Jean-Claude Berutti on 1 January 2011 who
will continue its creative activity.
