This formula inaugurates many children’s stories, most of which tell of encounters. The one we are talking about here concerns two sociological objects: culture and childhood. At the crossroads of research on childhood, family, education and leisure, the meeting of these two scientific objects opens perspectives of dialogue for different disciplines: ethnology, anthropology, sociology. The articles gathered in this book reflect the richness of this encounter, exploring at the same time the diversity of ages, from early childhood to adolescence, that of themes, between socializations of class and sex, juvenile and family, and practices, from the use of cultural facilities to digital and multimedia practices.
