Salsa fortress
The fortress of Salses represents an example of transitional military architecture, between the medieval castle and the bastions of modern times. At the edge of the border between Languedoc and Roussillon, between sea and mountain, Salses was in the sixteenth century the advanced sentinel of the kingdom of Aragon facing that of France.
