Champs-sur-Marne Castle and Park
The castle of Champs-sur-Marne is characteristic of the 18th century pleasure houses built in the countryside, allowing a new way of life. Built between 1703 and 1708 by architects Pierre Bullet and Jean-Baptiste Bullet de Chamblain, at the request of the financier of Louis XIV, Paul Poisson de Bourvallais. The castle presents sumptuous decorations rocaille, as well as decorations of chinoiseries painted in the middle of the eighteenth century by Christophe Huet.
