On the occasion of the 22nd edition of the international photojournalism festival, Visa pour l'image, Frédéric Mitterrand, Minister of Culture and Communication, presented the conclusions of the report on photojournalism of the General Inspection of Cultural Affairs (IGAC).

This report, requested in January 2010 and prepared by Marie Bertin and Michel Balluteau, made it possible to make an assessment of the economic and social situation of a profession that includes about 2,000 people, and whose vitality remains a major challenge for freedom of expression, pluralism, diversity of opinion and the right to information.
