Jossigny Castle is a testament to the architecture of the «pleasure houses» built in the 18th century. There was a manor in Jossigny from the 14th century. In the 1745’s, Claude François Le Conte des Graviers demolished the old manor and began the construction of the current castle on the site of the old building, thus preserving the foundations and the original vaulted cellars.
