The Centre de musique baroque de Versailles (CMBV) was created in 1987 at the instigation of Vincent Berthier de Lioncourt and Philippe Beaussant, with the particularity of bringing together, within the Hotel des Menus-Pleasures, all the professions necessary for the rediscovery and enhancement of the French musical heritage of the XVIIe and XVIIIe centuries.
