The call for applications
The State has extended the scope of the EAC (arts and cultural education) to toddlers: a real invitation to cooperation between actors of culture and early childhood.
This call for projects is therefore motivated by the need to accompany the emergence of quality artistic proposals for toddlers from 9 months to 3 years.
The project is to accompany three artists in the creation of shows for toddlers. These artists are professional performing artists from all artistic disciplines.
This project is proposed by ARTIS.
Who is this call for applications for?
3 host territories for 3 accompanied artists.
The host territories:
- Gold Coast
- Doubs
- Haute-Saône
Accompanied artists:
- resident in Burgundy-Franche-Comté;
- wish to create for the first time an artistic proposal for early childhood;
- can create a show adapted to the constraints of diffusion in structures of reception of the toddler or multipurpose halls;
- are ready to embark on a creative learning path for this audience: training - immersion and production residencies - dissemination assistance.
The very young audience (TJP)
This journey takes place from September 2023 to June 2024.
Its objective is to:
- to accompany the three artists in their intention to create for this particular audience;
- to open up genuine spaces for exchange and work;
- to support the dissemination of works in the territories of the Burgundy-Franche-Comté Region.
The personalized accompaniment will be carried out by two directors experienced in creation for the very young audience and by the cultural operator present in the host territory.
As part of the creation of spaces for exchanges and work between the three artists, collective times will be organized during the tour.
ARTIS and the partner departments, competent in the fields of culture and early childhood, will be present to support, in conjunction with local communities, the smooth running of the project.
The journey calendar
September 2023: Environmental training for toddlers.
September to June 2023/2024: Four weeks of creative residency (4 x 5 days) in a territory.
June 2024: First presentation of the shows .
