What is the principle behind this call for applications?
Driven by the desire to reduce inequalities in access to art and culture, the city of Saint Quentin has set itself an ambitious goal of generalizing an arts and cultural education. It was thus decided to set up in 2023 a Rural Culture Contract carried out in favour of the entire population from childhood to senior, but with a particular interest for children, adolescents and young adults living in schools, students, working or practicing their leisure on the city of Saint Quentin and its agglomeration, thus contributing to the formation of their course of arts and cultural education (PEAC).
The partners are able to launch this offer knowing that they can rely on the collective strength and energy of the many local actors in arts and cultural education, which he. are professional in culture, teacher, facilitator, educator, mediator. s, social workers, health professionals, etc.
This is why the city of Saint Quentin and the agglomeration community of Saint Quentinois, in close partnership with the Hauts-de-France Regional Cultural Affairs Directorate, the Rectorate of the Academy of Amiens – academic delegation of arts and culture, the Departmental Directorate of National Education Services – Aisne, in conjunction with the Regional Council of Hauts-Hauts-Alpesde France are offering a mission residency for artists or collectives of artists involved in urban dances with special attention to break dance artists, a new Olympic discipline for the 2024 Olympics.
