«Living Screen» is an experimental device that aims to evolve the digital practices of artists and structures for the presentation of live performances. 


Purpose of the device 

Run by the Office national de diffusion artistique (ONDA), Écran vivant supports venues and festivals for performing arts, supported by the State and/or local authorities and presenting artistic programming that reflects the variety of forms of contemporary creation and the renewal of aesthetics, having concluded a collaboration with a artist or an artistic team for the production and dissemination of an artistic digital capture or experimentation.

Eligibility

Digital works that are the subject of an application for assistance can be produced between 2019 and 2023 and must be produced and produced from performances broadcast between January 2019 and June 2024. 
These digital works must be broadcast in 2023 and/or 2024. For those who have a subsequent broadcast, an application may be submitted during a possible future call for Screen Alive projects.
Examples of digital content: documentary film, web-series, video capsule, recording of a show enhanced with interactive content...

The projects eligible for the exceptional "Capture and alternative broadcasting" support funds of the Centre National du Cinéma et de l'image animée – CNC and the Centre national de la Musique – CNM, with the exception of contemporary and improvised music, projects already supported by an audiovisual broadcaster, individual promotion projects and advertising or communication content, if they are not integrated into a more global digital creation project, are not eligible for this programme.

Aid granted

Up to 80% of the real cost of digital content is supported through the Living Screen program.
It is capped at €25,000.

Funded by the Ministry of Culture, theOnda encourages the dissemination of works of live performance that are part of a contemporary creative process concerned with artistic requirements.
His field of intervention covers all fields, theatre, dance, music (contemporary and improvised), circus, puppetry, public space; whether these works are created in France or abroad; whether they are for adults or for children and youth.
