The studio reception
The Home-Studio is now one of the missions specified in the Specifications of the National Choreographic Centres (NCCs) as confirmed by the circular of the Minister of Culture of 31 August 2010 on the national labels and networks of live entertainment.
When the system was set up by the dance delegation in 1998, the studio-hosting service met the objective of sharing the tool by proposing:
- to optimize the use of studios at a time when public partners were making an effort to provide NCCs with quality workplaces;
- to enable companies not established to benefit from the institutional network of NCCs.
Since then, the practice of studio reception has developed, the provision of workspaces often accompanied by technical support, administrative accompaniments, an artistic perspective and even a financial contribution on productions.
Today, the reception-studio is one of the public support mechanisms for choreographic creation.
