The i-Nov Innovation Competition, funded by the French government through the France 2030 plan, and operated by Bpifrance and ADEME, aims to support the accelerated emergence of companies with the potential to become world-class leaders in their field.

Twice a year, it selects research, development and innovation projects, supported by start-ups and SMEs whose total costs are between 1 and 5 million euros and whose duration is between 12 and 36 months. The project must fall within one of the 4 themes detailed in the specifications (Digital/ Health/ Transport, mobility, sustainable cities and buildings/ Energy, resources and natural environments).

The cultural and creative industries (CCI) have been selected to be part of the «Digital» theme since the 7th wave of the competition.
Many technologies are increasingly structuring for the ICC sector: immersive technologies (virtual reality and augmented reality), big data, artificial intelligence, blockchain, holochain, 3D printing. They impact, on the one hand, the processes of creation and production and, on the other hand, the dissemination and the relationship with the public. The objective of this theme is to identify and support projects exploiting the potential of these structuring technologies to present disruptive solutions close to the market and innovative in technology.
