The Ministry of Culture and the General Secretariat for Investment, in charge of Plan France 2030, are launching the call for projects «Green Alternatives 2». With a budget of €25 million, the scheme aims to accelerate the ecological transition of cultural enterprises, in order to make them a reference sector for environmental responsibility.
In the continuity of the first call for projects (AAP) launched in 2021, this system, operated by the Banque des Territoires (Caisse des Dépôts group), aims to fabort the emergence of innovative “green alternatives”, replicable and structuring in terms of their potential for ecological transformation of cultural practices, in all segments of the value chain of the companies concerned (creation, production, dissemination, end of life).
In addition, this call for projects will also seek to generalize the assessment of the environmental impact of cultural activities (carbon, short circuit, waste reduction, impact on biodiversity, life cycle of cultural digital, etc.) by the financing of environmental footprint measurement tools for the cultural sectors concerned. Finally, the call for projects will now be able to finance continuing training tools, it being understood that the deployment of green solutions requires the increase in skills of professionals in activity.
The entire cultural and creative industries sector is eligible, audiovisual, cinema, live performance in all its disciplines, music in all its components, museums and heritage, visual arts, design, architecture, crafts, video games, books, and the press, as well as the related communication and fashion sectors for the creative side of their business.

Green Alternatives 2 will be open until December 2024 and will be rolled out in three waves:
- Wave 1 closes: September 29, 2023 at 11:59 pm
- Wave 2 closes: March 29, 2024 at 11:59 pm
- Wave 3 close: December 31, 2024 at 11:59 pm
