La feuille et le stylo. Usages et significations des instruments
scolaires

RESUME
A travers les usages scolaires des étudiants inscrits
à l'université, s'exprime un ensemble de pratiques
et de représentations spécifiques à chaque
discipline. A partir des différences qui apparaissent
entre étudiants en droit et en philosophie, l'auteur s'attache
à montrer comment des aspects de la culture matérielle
scolaire à priori anodins et futiles (feuilles, stylos...)
sont susceptibles de nous informer sur les modes de socialisation.

ABSTRACT
The paper and the pen : use and significance of school stationery
Students' school habits reflect a system of norms and internal
values, of practices and representations that is specific to
each discipline. On the basis of differences observed between
a law student and a student of philosophy, the author attempts
to show how a priori insignificant and futile aspects of material
school culture (paper, pens, etc.) may yield information on the
modes of socialisation.

ZUSAMMENFASSUNG
Blatt und Schreibzeug: Gebrauch und Bedeutung des Schulbedarfs
Studentenschulgebräuche verweisen auf ein System von
Normen und inneren Werten, von Praktiken und Darstellungen, die
jedem Fach eigen sind. Ausgehend von Unterschieden zwischen Jura-
und Philosophiestudenten versucht die Autorin darzulegen, wie
eigentlich unwichtige und nebensächliche Aspekte der schulischen
Sachkultur (Papier, Schreibzeug, usw.) Auskünfte über
Sozialisierungsmoden geben können.
