Motor impaired visitors
The Regional Directorate of Cultural Affairs (Regional Conservation of Historical Monuments) offers visitors with reduced mobility to discover the Cathedral of Saint-Pierre de Montpellier in a journey with a historical introduction and five commented works.

Access comments directly on smarphone from the cathedral
At the entrance of the cathedral, a touch-screen kiosk presents the visit assistance device and gives access to the QR code to aim with his smartphone to get the historical introduction.
A map of the cathedral allows to locate the five works benefiting from a commentary as well as the recommended path to access it.
Next to each work, a QR code on the cartel allows to access its notice on smartphone.

Photos and a panoramic video also allow you to discover on the touch-screen terminal the places difficult to access or not accessible to people with reduced mobility (summit of the Urbain V tower, cloister of the medical faculty, forecourt of the cathedral).
How to use QR codes:
The QR code can be read through a reading app or bar code reader. There are several that can be downloaded for free. After downloading and installing the playback application, simply open this application and aim for the QR code by stabilizing the device. The application recognizes the QR code and gives direct access to the page of the DRAC Languedoc Roussillon website on which the comment is proposed for download.
A booklet containing all the works is also available on request from the cathedral reception.

Opening hours of the cathedral:
Daily (9:30 - 12:00; 2:30 - 6:30), except Sunday (9:00 - 12:00).
Closed on religious holidays.
We warn visitors with reduced mobility that the road leading to the cathedral has not yet been adapted to accessibility standards. The necessary interior fittings will be carried out in accordance with the programmed accessibility agenda (Ad'AP) in 2016.
