La route du poisson. Le sport au service du patrimoine

Entre sport et folklore, une course de chevaux de trait, intitulée " la Route du Poisson ", célèbre l'histoire de l'acheminement du poisson de Boulogne-sur-Mer à Paris. L'ethnographie de cette mise en scène compétitive du labeur d'antan, s'articule autour de deux questions : la culture dominante du sport constituerait-elle le liant privilégié pour une histoire de l'effort dans les manières de faire et de produire ? Assisterions-nous à une version hybride de la pratique sportive : le sport au service de la conservation du patrimoine ?

ABSTRACT

The Road of the Fish. Sports in the service of cultural heritage

Situated between sports and folklore, a race of draught-horses entitled "The Road of the Fish" celebrates the history of the transportation of fish from Boulogne-sur-Mer to Paris. The ethnography of this competitive event depicting the toils of old, centres on two questions: is the dominating culture of sports a useful tool for the history of labour in our ways of working and producing? Are we witnessing a mongrel version of a sporting practice: sports in the service of the conservation of our cultural heritage ?

ZUSAMMENFASSUNG

Die Fischstrasse. Der Sport im Dienst des Kulturerbes

Angesiedelt zwischen Sport und Folklore feiert ein Rennen von Zugpferden unter dem Titel "die Fischstrasse" die Geschichte der Beförderung der Fische von Boulogne-sur-Mer nach Paris. Die Ethnographie dieser Inszenierung alter Mühen als Wettkampf wirft zwei Fragen auf : ist die herrschende Sportkultur das beste Mittel, die Geschichte der Anstrengung bei Arbeit und Schaffen verständlich zu machen ? Erleben wir eine Umwidmung des Sports : Sport als Mittel zur Sicherung des Kulturerbes?
