Backcloth of silk by Marie Lemaire des Anges and her workshop of embroideresses pasted on linen canvas covered with gold and silver thread embroidery, embellished with garlands of flowers "painted in needlework" in wool and silk. The metallic embroidery is done in flat and raised self-couching stitch on padded linen for the medallion and the cornucopia. Some designs are embellished with thread and strips of gold and silver, with sequins and tinsel wire, 95 x 260 cm.
This altar cloth was restored in 1992 by the Centre de conservation du Québec and is currently displayed in the Musée des Ursulines de Québec.
