In these two images, the attitudes clearly reflect those of the painters contemporaries. The audience is often sitting on the ground while the preacher is standing, counting his arguments on his fingers, sometimes speaking from a mobile pulpit.

Soldiers and archers are numerous and well equipped, even if the weapons and the armours seem unusual.
