exterior view, porch

An inscription, painted on the pillar at the left of the entrance, gave a date and probably the name of the sleeping partner(s).
Today it is illegible and the ancient surveys are very incomplete or contradictory.
The realization must be dating from the early XVIth century, around 1510.
Even if these paintings have been ordered by a single person, they reflect the state of mind of the entire community of Lorgues.

As every person passing by (villagers going to the fields, traders, pilgrims and transhumants) had to cross the porch, the latter stepping over the track dug into the rocks, protector saints had to be represented among the characters on the pillars.
Saint Christopher , for example, because of his location, was immediately visible by those who came from Lorgues and expected his intercession to face the dangers of the trip.
