The sanctuary Notre-Dame de Fontaines rests at present on a terrace forming an earth platform.

Architectural transformations have occurred in the course of the centuries.
The chapel was probably extended during the second half of the XVth century.

The small porch supported by pilasters was built in front of the western front in the early VIIth century.
It probably served for the celebration of the service in the open when there were crowds of people.

An oculus has been pierced into the front to embellish it and to improve the inside lighting.
These transformations ended with the closure of the initial door, replaced by two lateral doors.
