The Romanesque house in the Traverse Paradis is a good example of the medieval town houses which were formerly typical of the urban fabric of Hyères. It is still practically intact in its thirteenth-century construction. Many medieval fragments still survive in the facades of other houses, even if their appearance is more modern. These fragments give a useful measure of the development and the density of the town's built spaces up to the fourteenth century.
