If bowls look rather rustic, dishes and plates were made with a lot of care,
as their elegant shapes show. In a few cases, hollow marks, carved with a knife
or poker worked, identify the owner or the user of the container.
Spoons, made of maple or box wood, have right or curved handles. Only one
metallic spoon, long and with a twisted handle, has been found. More than three
hundred metallic knives have been brought to light and many of them bear wearing
marks typical of the cutting of meat. |
