The Trials
Welcome to the annual Prix de Rome Contest in Historical Painting. Along
with your 100 or so fellow fine-art students, you have qualified for this
prestigious competition. The contest will last a grueling 106 days. You still
have a chance to back out of the contest, and find a nice quiet café in
the neighboring Quartier Latin where you can peacefully enjoy the atmosphere of
Paris. If not, Bon Courage and Bon Succès!
The contest is divided into three separate elimination trials. You may now
proceed to the first trial of the contest. May the best artist win!
