Influence on the world art scene

L'Ecole des Beaux-Arts has played an important role in the history of French art. Most great French artists of the 17th, 18th, and 19th centuries owed their training to Ensb-a. Some of the famous names that have passed through the school include Gericault, Delacroix, Fragonard, Ingres, Moreau, Degas, Monet, Renoir, and Sisley.

The school has also played host to many international students over the years. While often separated by language, the students are united by the common goal of artistic achievement. Some of the countries which have participated in exchange programs with Ensb-a include Algeria, Australia, Canada, Ivory Coast, Ghana, Israel, Singapore, Japan, and the United States.
